Pay: $70,000 - $80,000 year
Title: Logistics Manager (Auburn Hills, MI.)
Scope:
The successful candidate will have a mix of both strategic and operational responsibilities and be tasked with overseeing the company's inter-warehouse transfers, backhauls, and inbound third-party freight operations.
Job Responsibilities:
· Develop strategies and objectives for the logistics of inter-warehouse transfers, backhauls and inbound third-party freight operations, including imports.
· Manage and prioritize all activities related to transfers.
· Lead in development of analytical tools, reports, etc. to track key metrics, and to analyze and interpret data.
· Support enhancement of current processes and implementation of new ones through diligent process design and documentation.
· Partner with key teams, including senior leadership and HQ, to assess current transfer practices and identify synergistic initiatives, and drive compliance throughout the organization.
· Communicate and guide both internal and external partners to implement solutions.
· Develop reporting mechanism and a standardized process to report on weekly results, and identify and track action items, owners and timeline to improve weekly performance at all branches.
· Identify and execute strategic initiatives to drive maximum cost savings and value creation for the organization.
Job Requirements:
· 7+ years of experience, with a minimum of 5 years in logistics or transportation.
· Strong analytical skills, and highly proficient in Microsoft systems.
· Track record of identifying and delivering annual cost savings that meet or exceed goals.
· Ability to support the tactical and operational needs.
· Strong individual contributor mentality, hands on; lead from the front.
· Excellent communication, strong experience influencing, and problem-solving.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment - skilled at planning, organizing, prioritizing, and executing multiple projects with multiple groups.
Education Required:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Mgmt. preferred
